Distributor PC Range has had a major win in the ADSL market with Strathfield Group taking on its Billion range of access points and routers.

Among the product to be picked up by the retailer is the BiPAC 7402VL which is an ADSL2+ router with integrated VoIP. It will also carry the 7402VGL and 7402VGP which add 802.11g wireless connectivity.

Adelaide-based PC Range is the exclusive Australian distributor for Billion products. Strathfield will also begin carrying the Minitar range form PC Range in its 87 stores.

PC Range’s relationship with Strathfield began with a multi-format media player, the Z330, which is a consumer entertainment device designed by PC Range sister company Zensonic.

A Strathfield spokesperson said the PC Range products would attract new customers to its stores. "We really see there are two customer groups we are targeting with these products. The first are our existing customers who may or may not be in our store looking for IT-related products.

"The second group is those people already familiar with the range that may not necessarily be a regular Strathfield customer. Broadband is such a rapidly expanding market and we are targeting the DIY broadband customer," the spokesperson said.
