AVoIPA was formed in February 2005 as a trade association to represent Australian-based network operators, service providers and other businesses involved with the supply of VoIP services to business and residential consumers within Australia.

The first draft of the AVoIPA Code of Practice, which focuses on addressing the requirements for services that are offered to residential customers, is now available for review by AVoIPA Members through the CoP Work Group (WG1). The AVoIPA Code of Practice is a cornerstone of AVoIPA membership and it is crucial that it be adhered to in order to demonstrate that the industry is committed to effective self-regulation. If you would like to be part of the team that reviews and finalises the Code of Practice contact AVoIPA about becoming a Member asap.
