Not content with its burgeoning US
market for IP Telephony, Verizon Business has decided to reach out to Europe adding two new countries and introducing a fully
managed service.
The full suite services now offered in six European
countries incorporates a fully Managed IP PBX service, IP Integrated Access,
Hosted IP Centrex and IP Trunking services.
Along with the new countries Verizon has added local
language interfaces, local ringtones and additional access methods, says a
company statement.
The Managed IP PBX service complements its existing Hosted
IP Centrex services already offered in the United
Kingdom, France,
Germany and the Netherlands.
The new service allows customers to completely outsource the implementation and
management of their premises-based IP telephony system.
The company also offers IP Integrated Access which enables
customers to transition to VoIP while retaining their existing, traditional
PABX. Verizon is also offering a straight IP Trunking service to connect on-premise
IP PBX to its data and voice network.
The six European countries now able to access Verizon's VoIP
service from Europe add Belgium
and Luxembourg to the U.K., France,
Germany and the Netherlands. John
Irvine, vice president of international marketing for Verizon Business,
explains: "Our VoIP portfolio is recognised as an industry-leading platform for
IP transition, and we're delighted that we can now offer our full portfolio to
the international market.
