Industry veteran Kal Savi has joined Siemens Communications as Senior Channel Manager, Enterprise.

A heavyweight in the enterprise telephony market, Savi has an impressive background beginning with his 1993 appointment to AT&T’s newly created PABX division followed by a stint in Los Angeles as Global Account Manager for Lucent customer, News Limited, before returning to Australia where he worked for Avaya partner Sirocco Communications.

Most recently, Savi was employed by MCI working on the development of hosted IP telephony and contact centre solutions.

With Siemens, Savi will manage the company’s relationship with key channel partner, Commander Communications, to help boost market share in the Large Enterprise and SMB sector.

"Siemens is a powerhouse of innovation when it comes to enterprise telephony solutions and Commander is one of Australia's best total communication solution providers," said Savi. "That combination, together with the expertise that I can bring to table, will give us an edge in the highly competitive field of VoIP and IP telephony."

David Healy, General Manager, Siemens Communications - Enterprise said: "Kal brings an enormous amount of industry expertise and knowledge that will be invaluable to Siemens and to Commander. His appointment will significantly boost our efforts to increase sales and enhance our channel partnership with Commander.”
