South East Queensland's Toowoomba-based ISP and VoIP Service
provider, Bluemaxx, has extended the range of its wireless VoIP service to
cover more of the Darling Downs.
The company has just completed Stage Two roll-out of its
Broadband Connect-eligible fixed wireless Internet service, which it uses to
deliver VoIP services to the region.
The ISP resells Engin's VoIP services on Stage One, which
launched in June this year. That launch initially covered a 20 km radius from
Toowoomba's city centre.
The Stage 2 roll which has just completed extends
coverage to bring in a umber of more remote communities including: Gowrie,
Little Plains, Westbrook, Gowrie Junction, Cutella, Kings Siding, Lilyvale,
Kingsthorpe, Kelvinhaugh, Oakey, Boodua, Jondaryan, Highfields west,
Meringandan, Goombungee, Southbrook, Biddeston, and Wyreema.
The data services are fixed wireless and range from an entry level symmetric
256Kbps service for A$29.95 per month, up to a symmetric 2Mbps which is only
available in some areas and costs A$249 30.
VoIP Plans range from a A$9.95 per month plan which includes
10 cent un-timed National calls, international rates from 3.5 cents per minute
and calls to mobiles at 27 cents per minute.
A A$50 per month Business plan bundles 450 free National
calls and calls to mobiles at 20 cents per minute.
You can see the coverage maps here.
