OnIP Signs Second VoIP Vendor In A Week Print E-mail

Australian ‘Next Gen' IP solutions distributor, OnIP has signed its second major VoIP provider in just three days.

First it took on NetComm's SMB-focused SmartVoice and DSLAM product ranges and now it has secured the rights to sell Ranch Networks network gear which is designed for larger scale carrier-style VoIP deployments.

OnIP will sell the RN series of appliances from Ranch Networks. These unique appliances use patent pending technology to separate voice, video and data traffic into multiple secure zones without having to reconfigure IP addresses. They are designed to assist service providers to deliver VoIP services to enterprises without affecting existing data networks.

"Ranch Networks understands the VoIP market and their appliances reflect that understanding and knowledge," said Robert Hayden, Director, OnIP. "There is a huge need for clustering techniques, high availability and security when deploying VoIP. Ranch Networks fills those needs with the RN series of appliances."

Of the NetComm announcement he said: "NetComm's product range is a good fit for our reseller base, with many companies wanting gateway solutions for the edge of their networks."

NetComm's Managing Director David Stewart said the appointment of OnIP is a strong step forward for the organisation. "OnIP gives us a strong presence with Service Providers and IT Integrators who are deploying high end VoIP solutions for SME, branch Offices and the Hospitality sector."
