VoIP Provider Adds ADSL To Bundle Print E-mail

gotalk has added ADSL broadband plans to its price lists, offering unlimited data at aggressive prices not only for the data, but for calls as well. National calls are priced at 8.5 cents un-timed.
Before we get on to that, I know some of you will be interested to hear that gotalk says it has pre-orders for 10,000 of its VoIP stick, USB thumbdrive phone which becomes officially available today.

The new bundle offers 512/128 unlimited ADSL broadband internet, a free VoIP account and DSL hardware for $54.95 per month and you don't need to transfer your home phone to gotalk.

There are two hardware bundles for new subscribers. You can get the DLink DVG 2001s ATA (valued at $99) for free.

The other option is to take the DLink DVA G3340s, a modem, wireless router, phone adaptor in one, for half price at $149 (valued at $299).

Once you are connected, we think these call rates are the lowest on offer. Local and National calls are just 8.5 cents untimed. The calls to mobile are reasonable also, but not the cheapest around. These are priced at 19.9c per min, while international calls are from 1.5c per min.

And instead of the steak knives, GoTalk, which is turning out to be an aggressive marketer, has a Happy Hour special with all landline calls between 6-7pm at half-price.

"Many people would like to try VoIP, but the initial expense for the hardware, as well as the complications of selecting and putting together the right package to get started, puts many non technical people off this service," gotalk CEO Steve Picton said.

"If existing VoIP customers change over to this new plan, they too will have access to the exclusive offer of the lowest national rate of 8.5c per call fixed line rate."
