German phone maker, snom technology, has announced a strategic partnership with Canadian IP PBX developer, Objectworld, to deliver an end-to-end SIP solution to market.

Objectworld develops and sells VoIP phone systems and Unified Communications software for Microsoft Windows platforms.

Thanks to the partnership between the two vendors, the company's Unified Communications server will automatically detect and configure snom IP phones when they are connected, making end-user implementation a real possibility.

Objectworld's UC Server is a SIP-based IP PBX that incorporates Unified Messaging and Unified Communications while reducing operational costs and simplifying business processes, says the company.

It also claims the UC Server is the only VoIP phone system fully integrated with Microsoft Active Directory.

"We're very excited to add snom to a growing list of Objectworld Connect partners" said Steve Grassie, vice president of business development and marketing at Objectworld.

"snom provides feature-rich, high-quality phones at a very reasonable cost. This relationship increases the choices available to UC Server customers and guarantees that deploying snom phones with UC Server will be utterly painless - a matter of plugging the phone in.

"No one else in the industry provides that level of simplicity, openness and peace of mind to their customers. I'm sure our customers will be as thrilled as I am that we're providing it in partner-ship with snom," Grassie added.

Ottowa-based Objectworld Communications calls its solutions ‘IT Telephony, the next step in the convergence of telephony into the IT Data Center'.

"Together, snom and Objectworld provide a fully supported and certified SIP   telephony solution," said Michael Knieling, CFO and executive vice president of marketing and sales for snom.

"snom's unique interoperability allows us to work with partners such as Objectworld in order to provide our customers with optimal telephony solutions. We look forward to this partnership with Objectworld to increase the support services and capabilities of our phones."
