As promised, Integrated Research has completed its port of the PROGNOSIS performance monitoring system to support Avaya solutions and has announced today announced that it has passed compliance testing through the Avaya Developer Connection Program  so that the software is now compliant with key IP telephony solutions from Avaya.

A favorite amongst large scale VoIP deployments, PROGNOSIS was traditionally only compatible with Cisco IP Telephony solutions. Adding Avaya to the mix, will significantly increase the market for the software, which is developed by the Australian listed company.

PROGNOSIS stands apart from many of its rivals as it offers deep visibility into the state of key system components enabling network managers a way monitor, diagnose and troubleshoot their IP telephony environment in real time.

"Achieving Avaya compliance demonstrates our commitment and progress with our strategy to support multiple IP communication platforms." said Keith Andrews, Chief Executive Officer of Integrated Research.

"Avaya is one of the leading providers of IP telephony systems and this certification will enable our enterprise customers and managed service providers to monitor, diagnose and troubleshoot their Avaya, Cisco or hybrid environments with a single, proven and effective tool."

"By offering compliance testing to the many innovative companies like Integrated Research who are members of our DeveloperConnection program, Avaya promotes fully interoperable solutions that help businesses unleash powerful new possibilities," said Eric Rossman, Vice President, Developer Relations and Technical Alliances, Avaya.

"They are able to use Intelligent Communications to connect employees and customers to information from wherever they are, over whatever device they have available - getting more out of their network and delivering new value to their bottom line."

PROGNOSIS IP Telephony Manager supports the following Avaya equipment:
  • Communication Manager versions 3.0.x and 3.1.x
  • PBX models: S8700, S8710, S8720, S8500, S8300
  • Media gateways: G700, G650 (carrier), G450 (carrier), G350, G250, G150
  • IP phones: 46xx, 96xx
