VoIP and Unified Communications SpecialistTeleWare has sigfned a deal with a leading Australian distributor of Cisco networking gear i a more that will see the two go after the SMB market.
The Unified Comms products involved in the deal are developed especially to work with Cisco Call Manager Express VoIP solutions and
are said to be priced accordingly to attract small to medium sized businesses.
Express Data's Cisco division manager, James Mackay, told ARN the company had been approached by TeleWare and
Cisco to take up the products via its New Zealand office.
"At this stage it is only those sets of products that we are taking on,
but hopefully the relationship will open up to include other
offerings," he said.
"TeleWare is a part of
Cisco's developer program, which is a key to its success. The software
applications are designed exclusively for the Call Manager Express and
they enhance the user experience, particularly for the SMB market,"
he said.
"The SMB market has matured: they are looking to get access to more
applications that typically the corporate or the enterprise customer
has only been able to afford or to get involved in," said Mackay.
According to the local TeleWare Dusiness Development Manager, Richard Adams, the company hadaskedCisco to suggest the perfect parnter for the deal and with Cisco having a long history with Express Data in Australia, it was no doubt an easy choice.
"Cisco was very complementary of Express Data and how they are set up," Adams said. "We are keen to work solely with them. The key thing is to try and find the right resellers, which was
another area Express brings a lot of value. They have a really good
network and a lot of their resellers are already
selling Cisco equipment."
Express Data will be holding a TeleWare road show across the country from next month.
