SingTel, Cisco Bundle SME Gateway Print E-mail

Networking giant Cisco Systems has teamed up with Singapore's incumbent fixed line telco to offer SME customers a fully managed communications solutions that brings together telephony, data, Internet and security.
Dubbed the SingTel Enterprise360 solution the integrated office communications solution to is targeted at businesses with 50 to 250 employees looking to reduce the risks and complexities that enterprises face in implementing and maintaining a robust communications network.

The first of its kind in Singapore, the comprehensive solution bundles hardware, connectivity and managed services to deliver an integrated voice and data network, advanced security and remote access.

The bundle is built around SingTel's data and voice networks, delivered on Cisco 2800 and 3800 Series Integrated Services Routers and Catalyst Express 500 series switches and uses Cisco Unified IP Phones.

Businesses pay for the solution on a monthly basis depending on their requirements. There are ten packages available priced from S$700 to S$4,800 per month.

Wong Soon Nam, SingTel's vice president of Business Marketing, said: "Today, many enterprises either do not have anyone looking after their corporate information technology requirements or have existing employees doubling up as IT support. By entrusting us with their IT needs, enterprises can now concentrate on developing their core businesses.

"Our fully managed solution with an innovative and flexible rental pricing scheme also helps our customers to increase staff productivity and reduce costs."

Craig Gledhill, Cisco's managing director for Singapore and Brunei, said: "The demand for IP-based services is increasing dramatically due to the benefits that applications such as IP telephony, mobility, videoconferencing and security provide to businesses.

"However, the complexity of operating these services is also increasing and requires time, expertise and experience that most enterprises do not readily have.

"The answer for enterprises is to turn to service providers such as SingTel. SingTel Enterprise360 is an extremely compelling managed-service offering that will provide them with all the benefits of advanced networking applications with no upfront capital costs."
