VoIP solutions provider, Mitel has announced a new customer the labor
hire and recruitment firm, Integrated Group, has deployed an IP
Telephony system across its 48 offices Australia-wide.
Based in Perth, Integrated Group, has about 500 staff in 48 offices
around Australia, but it supplies a workforce of some 7,500 contractors
to a range of clients. To support its highly distributed workforce,
Integrated Group is migrating its entire voice and data communications
infrastructure to a single nationwide IP backbone.
Michael Disbury, Group ICT Manager for Integrated Group said the
principal objective is to control costs. "We are very focused on
tightly controlling operating expenses, as well as constantly looking
at ways to improve our services," he said.
Although there are 80 staff in the Perth head office, Integrated Group
typically has less than 15 staff at each of its branch office locations
and the previous phone system used
traditional PABX technology was expensive and difficult to
support, he said.
Anything Telephones, a Mitel Gold Solution Provider, was chosen to
design, install and provide ongoing remote and onsite support for
Integrated Group's entire voice system. Integrated Group has chosen to
standardise on a 3300 ICP solution for each of their offices, with
Mitel Your Assistant Lite software deployed to each user.
"Anything Telephones has been a key part of our team during the
planning for our new Mitel phone systems. They have helped us with
efficient and reliable remote support for all of our voice solutions,
as well as providing on site assistance across Australia. Our new Mitel
phone systems are sent preconfigured to the new site, and can be
remotely managed immediately. For a small office, a single day is
typically all that is needed for deployment."
With a large number of the Group's phone calls internal call
between team members, an IP telephony solution should provide
significant reductions in communication costs, and will enormously
simplify the administration work needed to support a highly mobile
workforce, says the company.
Disbury said: "With our team members regularly on the move, Mitel
Your Assistant Lite has made it much easier for everyone to work
together. We have now integrated our phone system with our Windows
applications, implemented simplified dialling, and have an automatic
phone directory for the whole company. Team members can even make and
receive work phone calls from their laptops, wherever they might be
working. This has made it much easier for us to support employees that
choose to work from home."
"Mitel's IP solutions make it easy for you to integrate your phone
system with your everyday software applications. Our simplified web
based administration and reporting tools are easy to use, and don't
require staff with specialist knowledge for routine administration
tasks. This greatly reduces the cost of supporting your phone system,"
said Gwilym Funnell, Mitel Australia Managing Director.
