Sydney To Get Broadsoft Ops Centre Print E-mail

Asia Pacific technical support and training services for VoIP software company BroadSoft, will be delivered from a new operations centre to be established in Sydney, New South Wales.

The operations centre will provide in-region technical assistance and training to users of BroadSoft's BroadWorks VoIP and IMS platform.
Australian telecom customers include AAPT, Commander, iiNet, Internode and Telstra.

The opening of the BroadSoft APAC Operations Centre comes just six months after BroadSoft opened its European Operations Centre in Belfast, Northern Ireland, said the company.

BroadSoft's already has offices in Sydney which carry out Research and Development. The new operations staff will co-locate with this facility, said a company statement.

BroadSoft also announced it has opened a sales office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, a market BroadSoft has served since 2003.

"BroadSoft's Asia-Pacific markets are rapidly adopting the BroadWorks platform for Hosted PBX, Business Trunking, Mobile and converged VoIP solutions," said Geoffrey K. Hicks, vice president of Operations forBroadSoft.

"By co-locating the new operations centre with our existing Research and Development engineering unit and a training facility, we've brought some of the industry's brightest talent together in one regional site to ensure our customers in the Asia-Pacific region receive the best support possible."

"This new operations centre is evidence of BroadSoft's commitment to the success of its service provider customers in the Asia-Pacific region," said Simon Hackett, managing director of Internode, which uses BroadWorks to deliver its NodePhone2 voice service.
