Pheonixed VoIP equipment maker Zultys has signed a distribution agreement with a new distributor to cover the Australian market.

According to a press statement released today,Westan Business Communications has won the rights to distribute the full range of IP telephony products from Zultys Technologies, which had a business collapse and was sold off to a new owner last year.

The new national distribution agreement covers Zultys' entire family of IP telephony and Unified Communications says the statement. The Business Communications division of Melbourne-based Westan specializes in unified communication and collaboration solutions to the SME and Corporate market through a channel partner model that spans across the IT and PBX reseller market.

"Our existing customers and resellers recommended that we look at the Zultys solution," said Patrick Micallef, Director of Business Communications at Westan. "Once we had the opportunity to review first-hand Zultys' unique ‘All-in-One' IP Telephony platform, we quickly understood why. We were particularly impressed by Zultys' ability to deliver a cohesive experience for advanced collaboration features such as presence, unified messaging, voicemail, inbound contact centre capabilities and PBX functionality - all out of the one box."

"We are seeing tremendous growth across all segments of the IP Telephony market and the appointment of Westan will significantly strengthen our ability to service and expand the channel, which is comprised of both IT system integrators and traditional PBX resellers. Westan was an obvious choice with several years experience in IP communications, an excellent reputation for pre- and post-sales support and national warehousing," said Martin Trigg, Regional Director Australia / New Zealand for Zultys Technologies

"We believe that the addition of this experienced strategic partner enhances our growing distribution network and will help us to maintain the first-class support to which our VARs and end-users are accustomed," said Avi Wienrib, Chairman and CEO for Zultys Technologies.

Westan's efficient order processing and delivery systems, developed through 19 years of high volume IT distribution, combined with the ability to provide pre and post sales support will ensure resellers are able to deliver tailored solutions that meet the needs of their customers.

"Westan are excited to be distributing this award-winning solution from Zultys Technologies that has already gained widespread recognition for rolling out highly scalable Unified Communication products that are mature and commercially proven. We believe that the products from Zultys technologies address this need with a solution that is both feature rich and simple to deploy," Micallef said.

Westan will be showcasing the complete Zultys product range in a series of road shows to be held around Australia. System resellers looking for a competitive edge in this thriving market should contact Westan on 03 9541 8888 to book a seat.
