A Melbourne-based telecommunications software developer has announced it is now a part of Nortel's Developer Program allowing it to work more closely with Nortel in compatibility testing for Nortel communication platforms. The Developer Prgoram also has elements of co-marketing and brings benefits simply by association and the guarantee of ongoing compatibility.

AdvaTel's PhoneEasy has successfully completed compatibility testing in a Nortel lab facility and is verified as compatible with the Nortel Business Communication Manager (BCM) Portfolio. PhoneEasy enables customers to manage incoming and outgoing calls with just a click of a mouse, providing detail about who is calling or the person you are calling.

PhoneEasy displays a Busy Lamp status for the extension in your office and other branch offices. With Outlook and Lotus Notes calendar mining, users no longer waste time trying to call people who are in meetings or out of the office. PhoneEasy also sets up conferences, provides call back reminders and logs all call details as well as enhancing some specific features of networked BCMs.

AdvaTel Chairman and Managing Director, Michael Terry, said: "The recognition of Nortel Compatible Product awarded to our PhoneEasy suite of products is a major step in AdvaTel's acceptance as a leading software developer in the telecommunications industry."

"The AdvaTel development team and management have been working closely with Nortel to offer a market leading and cost effective desktop application that combines business telephony, email and PC-based SMS or text messages in one application."

AdvaTel's PhoneEasy products, along with our QMC Contact Centre software, PL85 and Bell Captain products are available through a reseller network, for which the company just announced its own partner program.

The AdvaTel Partner Program has been developed to assist the company's channel partners in the sales and marketing of products such as PhoneEasy and QMC software. There are three levels, Titanium status is for the largest and most productive partners who participate in BETA
testing, product development and training along with achieving a higher level of revenue. Titanium partners also have the necessary in-house technical expertise to ensure a comprehensive roll out and support program for all AdvaTel products.

Platinum partners benefit from increased sales and marketing collateral along with assisted demonstration sessions and technical expertise, while affiliate partners have the minimum sales and technical training but are assisted directly by AdvaTel to promote and integrate its products. This level of partnership allows our smaller partners to work with AdvaTel to achieve growth and work towards Platinum membership.

"The AdvaTel Partner Program is the most comprehensive marketing initiative we have implemented in many years. The feedback from our Channel Partners has exceeded our expectation and we look forward to announcing members as they come onboard," said Terry.
