MILAN, Italy, 19th June 2007 - BroadSoft, Inc., a leading provider of VoIP application software, will host the inaugural Southern Europe VoIP Leaders Summit in Milan on 20 June with partners Acme Packet, Polycom, BEA Systems and the Savatar research firm.

The Southern Europe VoIP Leaders Summit will offer service providers valuable industry insight into the latest issues in the European VoIP market. It will feature exclusive contributions from Savatar, BroadSoft, BEA, Polycom and Acme Packet, alongside a panel discussion comprised of industry veterans. Topics covered will include European end-user analysis on the take-up of VoIP in the enterprise and service creation strategies. Additionally, attendees will be able to:

* Learn about VoIP market strategies by fixed and mobile operators
* Explore various approaches to convergence
* Hear case studies from industry innovators on their market-entry strategies
* Meet executive peers who are driving the VoIP industry in Southern Europe

"The European VoIP market is experiencing a period of unprecedented growth, with the market opening up for hosted voice services delivered via mobile, broadband and fixed-mobile convergence," said Mike Wilkinson, director of European Marketing for BroadSoft. "At the Southern Europe VoIP Leaders Summit, service providers will learn best business practices across Europe and the key issues facing the VoIP market. This summit is the ideal platform for decision-makers to appraise market drivers and to develop a successful VoIP strategy going forward."

New Country Managers
In addition to hosting the VoIP Leaders Summit in Milan, BroadSoft will introduce two new country managers, further extending its operations in Southern Europe.

Joining BroadSoft as a country manager for Spain is Enrique Funke, who brings to BroadSoft his extensive knowledge of the Spanish market and network of relationships within the country's leading telecom operators. Enrique has previously worked for Tekelec, Telefónica, Intel, IBM and Alcatel.

As the new Italian country manager for BroadSoft, Laura Luigia Martini will help the company consolidate its position in the Italian market with her 11 years of experience in business management and marketing roles in companies including Alcatel-Lucent, Riverstone Networks, Netcentrex and Nortel.

"BroadSoft's award-winning VoIP platform, BroadWorks, is the platform of choice for four of the top five telcos in EMEA. However, capability without experience is no good to anyone, which is why we are tempering our global reach with local expertise," added Wilkinson. "We want service providers to know we are fully committed to helping them succeed with VoIP services in their unique markets, and we are delighted to have Laura and Enrique on board to help achieve this."

The VoIP Leaders Summit will be held at the Milan Marriott on 20 June. Access to the summit is free of charge for registered service providers and BroadSoft partners. Attendance is strictly limited; attendees should register early to secure booking. Registration is online via: http://www.regonline.com/Checkin.asp?EventId=135960
