Isreali developer, SoliCall, has begun distributing softwre that helps reduce the background noise from SIP-based VoIP calls. The desktop softphone version which has been available as a free download for most of this year is now joined by a version for IP PBXs.
The SoliCall
software reduces background noise and improves voice clarity and the softphone version apparently works with any SIP softphone, Skype, Google Talk or Yahoo Messenger.
The desktop softphone version allow you to train the software to
recognise mltiple voices which it then allows to pass unimpeded while
screening out other human noises.
Now the company has made available a version of the software that will work with any VoIP network that supports SIP. Like the single user version, SoliCall's PBXMate helps cut
down on extra noise transmitted during calls.
"This
will mark the end of noisy business calls, and especially conference
calls," says Shlomi Simhi, Director of Marketing for SoliCall (Ltd.).
"Our customers report on a dramatic improvement in voice quality and on
a whole new conversation experience."
The PBX software runs on both Linux and Windows and can be used to do things like filter all calls entering a conference room or to filter incoming calls to reduce background noise coming from cellular phones or other external systems.
