VoIP services
wholesaler Voxbone has announced record results as the global VoIP
business continues to accelerate despite isolated failures such as theSunRocket bankruptcy last week in the US.
Voxbone, which provides carriers, Internet Telephony Service Providers (ITSPs), calling card operators, call centers and other
businesses, with
services such as virtual phone numbers, origination services and a
global infrastructure supporting direct inbound dial (DID) or virtual
numbers, has reported asignificant boost to recurring revenues which grew by 63% from
December 2006 to June 2007.
Call-minutes handled also grew by 79%
during the same period as the company's customer
base increased by 50% from over a similar period.
Headquartered
in Brussels,
Belgium, Voxbone has expanded its VoIP backbone from Europe to America
and
recently to Asia so that it now covers more than 5,000 cities in
roughly 50 countries. During the six months to June, 2007 the company
increased its global employee base by more than 61% to accommodate the
increasing demand for its services. This included the opening of its
first office in the U.S. (in the L.A. area) and a new feature that
transforms Voxbone's standard SIP trunking into a distributed and fully
redundant SIP trunk, said the company.
"We are committed to more and improved VoIP origination services --
while maintaining the highest standards of service -- throughout the
world," said Rodrigue Ullens, co-founder of Voxbone. "The first half of
2007 saw tremendous growth and increased global momentum and, given the
market reception to our offerings, we expect similar or even better
results for the second half of the year."
