VoIP specialist Avaya South Pacific has announced the appointment of Mark Duncan to the position of Manager of its Convergence Practice.
Duncan’s role will be to work closely with key customers and lead the Australian and New Zealand sales team.
Duncan joins Avaya from call centre specialist Sabio UK Limited where he was responsible for reporting to the board on the design and implementation of converged solutions. Prior to that Duncan has worked with Crane Telecommunications and Panasonic.
“We are very fortunate that Mark brings over 13 years international experience in the telecommunications industry to Avaya, including his knowledge as the solutions architect for some of the largest IP call centres in the UK. In fact, Mark played an instrumental role in designing Avaya’s largest IP based call centre in the UK with the capacity to handle over a million calls per day with 1,700 agents located in the UK, Ireland and India. This experience in working directly on-the-ground with customers will ensure Avaya continues to offer better-designed, better-managed, IP telephony plans,” said Carlton Taya, Managing Director, Avaya South Pacific.
In his new role, Duncan will be based in Sydney.
