Next IP Offers OpenPhone 7X Print E-mail

The OpenPhone 7X series of IP Telephony handsets from Canadian maker, Aastra is now available from SYdney-based distributor, Next IP. The OpenPhone 7X series includes a range of integrated, fully featured OpenCom phone system handsets, which are available with either a standard digital interface or with an Ethernet port to enable an IP connection.

Nick Touzeau, director of Next IP Distribution, said, "The entire range of 7x handsets are an upgrade from our successful 6x series phones and offer more functionality at the same pricepoints, delivering a wide range of choice to customers.

"The softphone application will be beneficial to businesses that have a number of remote users and who wish to save on cabling costs or like the convenience of running a fully featured phone on their PC," he said.

Each handset in the 7x range is featured with duplex handsfree, a display, headset interface and identical menu structure making them ideal for any type of business. A fully featured softphone option is also available.

OpenPhone 7X series product range includes:
  • OpenPhone 7X IPC - softphone solution for Microsoft Windows, which provides full feature emulation of a digital handset, facilitating hot-desking. Conversations can be recorded onto the user's PC.
  • OpenPhone 75/ 75 IP - provides an illuminated 11-line display and 8 programmable soft keys. Switchboard administration is made easy as users can access the internal phonebook, call lists and the number of function keys can be increased by adding up to three keyboard extensions. Ideal for an executive or receptionist.
  • OpenPhone 73/ 73 IP - includes a four-line display, 7 progammable soft keys, which provides an extensive overview of the system and ease of use. Ideal for a manager or executive user.
  • OpenPhone 71 - is packed with useful features, including a hands-free speakerphone, headset connector, and five programmable soft keys. The two-line display ensures users have a clear view of applications such as the phonebook and caller details. Ideal for general office workers.
