Avaya Gold Business Partner, GlobalConnect Australia, has announced a number of new appointments to its Sydney-based pre-sales consulting and professional services organisation.

Steve Dallaway has been appointed Pre-Sales Solutions Consultant and will be responsible for consulting with customers in developing, delivering and supporting company solutions including, voice and data networking products, systems and applications. Dallaway has 20 years' experience in the IT industry and was previously a Solutions Architect with Telstra Business Systems. He has also worked in account management and senior solutions consultant positions with Avaya, Lucent, NSC Enterprise Solutions and AAP Communication Services.

Ruth Wyer and Arvind Nagarajan have been appointed Professional Services Solutions Consultants and will be responsible for solution discovery, call centre and applicatons pre-sales support, training and deployment.

Wyer has 12 years' experience in the administration of Avaya PABXs and call management systems specialising in call centre technology and reporting. She was previously Implementation Engineer with Telstra Business Systems, a position which she transitioned to from Touchbase Australia where she was an Applications and Call Centre Consultant. She has also worked in call centre consulting, systems application support and telecommunications administration with Lucent Technologies, Zurich Australia and Avaya in Australia and the UK. .

Nagarajan previously spent eight years with Customer Interaction Management specialist, Servion Global Solutions. Most recently, he was based in the United Arab Emirates as the organisation's Regional Solution Consultant where he was in charge of all the technical aspects of providing solutions to customers across the Middle East, He was also the single point of contact for all Avaya Business Partners in the region. He previously was a Solution Consultant contracted to Avaya CSI in Singapore with responsibility for service delivery in the Asia Pacific region, including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia and Brunei. In addition, he has worked for Servion in Australia, the UK and India.

Pushkar Taneja, Managing Director, GlobalConnect Australia, said, "These three new staff hires bring to GlobalConnect Australia around 40 combined years of exceptional consultant, engineering and operational experience with emerging and high growth end user customer organisations. Their knowledge of contact centre systems deployment will be integral to making the right business decisions that contribute to help GlobalConnect Australia meet its growth objectives."
