WA Dept Education Goes IP With Panasonic Print E-mail

The West Australian Department of Education and Training has chosen Panasonic for the upgrade of all future school telephony systems to IP-capable solutions.

The Department will implement Panasonic KX-TDA 30, KX-TDA 100 and KX-TDA 200 IP-PBX systems in WA schools to augment existing telephony systems. The new gear will also manage public address systems, voicemail, outbound calls and re-route inbound calls. The Panasonic KX-TDA30 supports up to 52 extensions while the KX-TDA 200 is designed for medium to large businesses with up to 256 extensions.

The of 780 schools spread across WA educates more than 250,000 students and the new IP-capable telephone systems are to be progressively installed in schools and offices throughout the State by Command A Comm. The location range in size from 6 - 100 extensions.
