Holly Connects, a leader in the development of standards-based, next generation voice platforms has certified the Speech Engine by LumenVox, an innovator of speech recognition software, as a speech recognition engine compatible with the Holly Voice Platform.

Support for the LumenVox Speech Engine is included in the recent service pack 4 for Holly Voice Platform 4.2. The integration is performed using the Media Resource Control Protocol, which enables Holly users already using speech recognition to quickly integrate LumenVox with their existing solutions.

“Holly is working to bring greater value and increased choice to users of speech technologies through our partnership with LumenVox,” said Holly Connects CEO Lance Berks.  “We seek to respond to customers who demand options for deployment of speech applications while benefiting from open standards for interoperability.”

“This integration with the Holly Voice Platform brings affordable, reliable speech recognition to a new group of users,” said LumenVox CTO Jim Blake. “And with Holly and LumenVox’s support for open standards like VoiceXML and MRCP, users have unprecedented flexibility for developing speech applications.”

The LumenVox Speech Engine is automatic speech recognition technology designed for telephony applications and comes included with support for several languages, including American English, Australian English and varieties of Spanish.

LumenVox provides affordable speech recognition software for channel integrators, developers, and solution providers to design and deploy dynamic speech solutions.
