Anything Telephones and Data (AT&D) is a Perth based systems integration firm has been appointed as an accredited Mitel Platinum Solution Provider after two years in the program.

The specialist voice and unified communications solution provider joined Mitel's partner program back in January 2006 but comes from a background selling traditional key system phone solutions. Today the company is the only Mitel Platinum Solution Provider with a direct presence in Perth.

The Mitel relation ship has transformed the company says Lyndon Croot, General Manager for AT&D. "Our business has more than doubled in size, and shifted dramatically from offering simple key systems voice solutions, to offering complete unified communications and contact centre solutions.

"We believe that traditional TDM voice systems are a technology dead end, and that the entire market will completely shift across to more advanced VoIP based systems over the next 2 to 3 years."

"We like the fact that Mitel is producing future proof technologies, with an emphasis on solutions that improve businesses productivity and customer service. It is a completely different world selling and supporting these business solutions, compared to selling traditional voice products," said Croot.

Gwilym Funnell, Mitel Australia Country Manager said that "Anything Telephones & Data have been able to quickly build up their IP communications business, with Lyndon Croot recently being awarded Mitel Australia's Sales Champion award, for being the top performing sales person in our Australian partner program for the period November 2007 through to January 2008."

Mitel's partner program puts a heavy emphasis on service delivery, and training for sales and technical staff, says the company. A range of self-paced online training courses are offered at no cost to all Mitel partners, in addition to classroom based courses. Program certification is recorded on an individual basis, and follows the career of individuals.

About the training, Croot says: "The training resources that Mitel offer here in Australia are comprehensive, and have made it easier for us to offer fantastic service to our clients. The ability to do training via self-paced courses meant we didn't face the disruption and extra expense of sending key team members away for long periods to attend courses."
