GOtalk Gears Up To Push VoIP Print E-mail

Telecorp subsidiary GoTalk has appointed Ian Adams as Group General Manager Sales & Customer Marketing prior to the launch of its consumer VoIP service.

With a background in ICT sales and marketing area since arriving in Australia from
the UK in 1986 Adams, has done stints as corporate sales manager at AAPT, several years at Optus managing strategic corporate accounts and even a term at Lexmark where he was General Manager Alliances ANZ.

"Ian is a highly experienced successful ICT executive I have known since my British Telecom days. His newly created position will encompass all divisions within the Telecorp group but will be particularly helpful as we are about to launch a national consumer campaign for GOtalk Broadband Voice," said Steve Picton, CEO of Telecorp.

A pre- and post-paid calling card provider Telecorp launched in 2000 and currently has a turnover of over $13 million per month, growing at more than 30%. The company now has more than 300 employees.

For its part GOtalk targets residential and business markets with a range of services including voice (line rental), Internet, calling card and mobile services all on a single invoice.

Launched in March 2003 and with a run rate of $3.5 million plus a month from more than 40,000 customers GOtalk recently launched GOtalk Broadband Voice.
