Ethan And Mitel Plan VoIP Success Print E-mail

Mitel has appointed integrator Ethan Group as its second only Platinum Accredited systems integration partner in Australia.

The only other integrator at that level is Telstra Business Systems.

Sydney-based Ethan Group also recently signed up as a channel partner to wireless broadband player BigAir.

At the time, Tony Geagea a Director at Ethan Group said:"Through our relationship with BigAir we can now provide our customers with a business-grade high-speed alternative for their broadband access requirements.

“We feel that BigAir is an excellent addition to our existing portfolio of services and the symmetric bandwidth it offers is great for implementing VoIP solutions such as our industry leading MiTel solution."

Gwilym Funnell, Mitel Australia Country Manager said the two company’s “are rocketing ahead with IP Telephony solutions”.

Ethan Group was named
Australia’s fastest growing company after its revenue grew 760% last year, he said.

Andrew Rayment, Ethan Group CEO said that working together the two “are confident” they can continune to grow rapidly and “have a substantial impact on the Australian Voice over IP market".

Mitel’s Solution Provider program is a 100% skills based program, designed to ensure that end users receive consistently high quality service and support by solution providers.

Ethan Group’s achievement of Platinum level demonstrates they offer the highest level of converged skills, and are best placed to support customers in implementing converged voice and data networks.

In other news, Mitel has appointed Stefan Jansson as Technical Support Manager, based in
Sydney. Stefan was previously at Damovo (Australia) and Ericsson (UK).

Announcement of his appointment coincides with the opening of Mitel’s expanded Technical support centre in
Sydney to support the Asia Pacific region, supplementing the resources of the European and Canadian Mitel Technical Support Centres.

The Sydney Technical Support Centre will provide level three solution support capabilities for Mitel’s solutions partners and distributors. First and second level support capabilities are delivered by authorised Mitel distributors within each region.
